Welcome at the Center for Management Research.

The Center for Management Research (DITF-MR) is part of the German Institutes for Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf (DITF), the largest textile research center in Europe.

Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Meike Tilebein DITF-MR develops new concepts, methods and tools for strategic and operational management as well as new organisational structures in and between enterprises.

The emphasis of the research lies in the fields:

• Innovation and knowledge management
• Production management
• Supply chain management
• Logistics

The research covers the whole textile value added chain, starting with the producton of fibers up to marketing of the final product. Regarding the emerging importance of technical textiles the integration of textile enterprises into knowledge oriented networks of high adding value is in the special focus of DITF-MR's research and consulting activities.

DITF-MR is closely connected with Institute for Diversity Studies in the Engineering Sciences of the University of Stuttgart, whose directress Prof. Dr. Meike Tilebein is.

The founder of the Center for Management Research and for many years the head of the center, Prof. Dr. rer. pol., habil. Ing. Thomas Fischer stays in close connection to DITF-MR. Furthermore he holds the chair for Business Informatics and Information Management at the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. This results in a close cooperation with one of the leading business schools with a high international reputation.
