Making knowledge productive

The Center for Management Research develops new concepts, methods, and tools for stategic and operative management as well as new organizational structures under the direction of Prof. Dr. rer. pol., habil. Ing. Thomas Fischer. Research activities focus on innovation and knowledge as well as on production management, and logistics. They concern the complete textile pipeline – from fiber production to end product marketing and its use in conventional (with special emphasis on non-conventional), fields of application. The results are best practice solutions and pilot systems that can be implemented in enterprises and textile industry value-added networks.

Performance spectrum:

  • Development of new methods and instruments and implementation of new organisational forms in and between enterprises in the textile sector and their partners in other fields
  • Analysis and designing of business processes applying scientific system theory methods, cybernetics, and informatics as well as new information technology instruments
  • Consultation for quality, environmental and risk management
